2005 - Present

Restore a Child started sponsoring orphan children in Nairobi and the remote villages in 2005. In 2007 we helped dig a well for an orphanage in Nairobi and funded the addition of classrooms to that orphanage.

In 2008, in partnership with HELP International, we provided food, medical care and the purchase of additional land for the orphanage. We also sent two long-term volunteers from Belgium and the US for several months to assist with the operation of the orphanage.

In 2010 our focus shifted to providing boarding school fees to individual orphans who had no parents.  We then added feeding children in two elementary schools and support for the school for the deaf in Nairobi. In 2012- 2014 Restore a Child supported a feeding program for starving children in Northern Kenya due to the famine.

During COVID Pandemic in 2020 we provided food and many goats for milk for the Masaai in Kenya. Jerome Habimana, the treasurer of the East Central Division, has been helping us for many years coordinating our projects
