Drought and Death

STARVING MAASAI CHILDREN

Lack of rain across East Africa is in the fifth failed rainy season in a row, mostly in Kenya and Tanzania, and has left the population in a desperate state.

"Pastoralist Maasai communities, have had to give up their nomadic way of life as all pastures have dried out. They have already lost millions of cattle because of lack of feed, and the remaining are starving. Besides hunger, the situation is causing depression among the Maasai, to whom the cattle are the backbone of their identity, culture, and livelihoods. They love their cattle and are hesitant to let them go."

“In order to eat we need to let our cattle go, and take care of our children. Otherwise our children will have nothing to eat.“ – Maasai senior community leader

URGENT APPEAL: Restore a Child needs 100 tons of Food to save the lives of Maasai...

Together with Dr. Laszlo Szabo, professor of Theology at Friedensau Adventist University in Germany, we purchased 15 tons of food for five different Maasai villages in Longido, North Tanzania.

We are appealing to our faithful donors, churches and conferences, to open their hearts for these poor people who have nothing.

URGENT APPEAL: UKRAINE PEOPLE ARE DYING

As missiles strike constantly on civilians in different regions of Ukraine, Restore a Child is responding to the injured at Angelia Clinic in Kyiv and several other locations.

100% of your donations go directly to the intended people.

Due lack of electricity, the need for 50 KW generators is great. With our partner Dr. Szabo, he dispatched one such generator with food, warm clothing and blankets to areas in crisis. Please open your hearts and wallets to save lives.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
