Rest in Peace, Dr. William Johnsson

Saying goodbye to someone is always difficult… especially when it’s someone you love and respect.

This past week we lost William Johnsson. Bill’s impact on lives around the world will long be remembered. He was born in Australia and became a pastor, professor, theologian, editor and author of more than 40 books. But, more than that, he was a friend to all he encountered. Much of his scholarly life was spent exploring and writing about the themes in the Book of Hebrews, and that is no doubt why he often said in his discussions and debates, “ultimately, it’s all about Jesus.”

Bill was a longtime friend and supporter/donor to Restore a Child. He completed my biography: NORMA; Beyond Their Tears, in 2019, which continues to contribute to our growth. My wish is that his life will motivate and bless all Christians to fulfill the Gospel mandate to "defend orphans". Dr. William Johnsson will be missed around the world.

On behalf of the Chairman of Restore a Child and Board members we extend our deepest condolences to his wife Noelene and all his family. We honor the life of this man of great faith.

I loved Dr. William Johnsson and will ever be grateful for sacrificing six months of his precious time to author my biography with the subtitle: "The amazing story of an Arab girl who became a champion for orphans."
