MAASAI GIRLS’ LIVES MATTER

Updated: Oct 2, 2021

Maasai girls, of Tanzania, are not safe crossing the 5-mile desert land from their huts to school. The only Adventist school in proximity to their village is only up to 7th grade. So at age 13, their parents give them in marriage to older men who can afford to give a big dowry.

We cannot allow this to happen. To help protect Maasai girls and invest in their futures, Restore a Child and Dr. Laszlo Szabo Professor of Theology at Friedensau Adventist University in Germany, have acquired land and together we are building a dormitory for 50 girls. We have been helping Maasai people for the past 8 years.

Check out the Adventist World Magazine, May 2021 issue, to read an article about our joint project for Maasai.
