Promise to Power

During the early stages of Restore a Child, I saw that God's work in our lives often begins with a promise. Throughout Scripture, God declares His intentions before He demonstrates His power. Likewise, Jesus promised His disciples that they would receive the power after a waiting period. God's promises are invitations to trust Him during the waiting season.

A major example of this promise over the past 27 years of our operation are the 5,000 children we rescued, many of whom have become pastors, teachers, lawyers, and community leaders. When they accepted the grace that was offered to follow the Master, they received the power that transformed each of them to become extraordinary workers. In our last eUpdate we shared with you some of these success stories.

We all live between promise and power. That is the underlying message of everything Restore a Child does. God has promised His presence, His peace, His provision and ultimately His eternal kingdom. The same God who spoke the promises of old is the same God who is faithful today as He honors His Promise to provide all our children's needs through YOU, our faithful donors. The journey from promise to power is God's way of building our faith so that when His power is revealed all the glory goes to Him alone.
