The Restore a Child Chairman and Board of Directors join me in remembering, celebrating and honoring the life of a true Christian leader, Dr. Clement Archangelo Mawa, without whom, we could not have done all the work for South Sudan. Dr. Mawa called me last month when he was in India trying to find a medical solution for personal healing. Although he was suffering in a foreign land, he kept connecting me with some of his workers in South Sudan field so that our work could continue.
Dr. Clement Mawa was a great supporter and partner with Restore a Child's work in South Sudan for 12 of our 15 years in that country. (Listen to his personal testimony in the video he sent below). We worked together on many projects for the suffering people of South Sudan. I would need several pages to mention all the work.
Here are a few of the projects Dr. Mawa assisted in... distributing 300 goats to poor women in South Sudan... building a school for the refugees from South Sudan... building a new Vocational School that was totally demolished by the War. He also helped us send 1,000 children to Adventist schools in Juba and other areas by paying for their tuition. In addition we distributed more than 500 copies of the Bible to young people for Bible studies and preparation for baptism. Dr. Mawa believed in feeding the hungry children, so he organized feeding programs in several schools and the community. This is only a small part of how he helped Restore a Child's work grow in South Sudan.
That’s why your support matters. With just a few days until July 30, your 100% tax-deductible gift can help RESTORE A CHILD save hundreds more lives, including South Sudan. In honor of Dr. Clement Mawa who has a special place in my heart. I will share more in the future..
