Hurricane Melissa has devastated Jamaica, leaving thousands of people without access to basic necessities like food, shelter, and education. Restore a Child is responding to this crisis by providing emergency aid and supporting long-term recovery efforts.
Our team is working tirelessly to distribute food, rebuild homes, and establish temporary schools. By supporting Restore a Child, you can help make a difference in the lives of those affected by the hurricane.
Despite the devastation, the spirit of Jamaican pride remains unmistakable—down but not out. The message emerging from the island is clear: the storm may have battered the land, but it has not broken the people. I will be traveling with Pastor Omar Palmer to personally see the needs of children.
Thank you for being our partner!

Last Friday Pastor Omar visited our office to plan our joint trip to Jamaica in early March. in addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Omar Palmer is a member of the Florida Conference Executive Committee.

A Personal Message from a Born Jamaican... Pastor Omar Palmer
Hurricane Melissa left many Jamaican families with no formal shelters — only makeshift tents pieced together from plastic bags and scraps of debris. Children are sleeping on wet ground, exposed to rain, heat, and uncertainty. They have lost their homes, their beds, and the simple security every child deserves.
Already on the ground, Restore A Child has teamed up with Pastor Omar Palmer and the Palm Springs SDA Church to make a tangible impact. Your donation can help provide safe cover, food, clean water, and hope to little ones who are enduring more than any child should.
The goal is to meet the needs at the source and that is the basis of providing aid for deeply impacted school children and impoverished communities.
As a born Jamaican, I see firsthand how a gift of any kind can transform a child, a community and a country. Thank you!
