Dear Friend,
As the United States celebrates its Independence, it is well to contemplate what we need to be dependent on.
Dependence on God means trusting in God completely... for all your needs, guidance, strength, and purpose. It’s the ability to accept that ultimately you are not self-sufficient and that you need God’s help and grace in every part of life. Teaching children dependence on God—rather than independence from Him—is our deeply meaningful spiritual goal.
1. Trust God’s Provision
Believe that God will provide what you need even when circumstances are uncertain.
Example: Jesus teaches in Matthew 6 not to worry about tomorrow, trusting that God cares for even the sparrows.
2. Seek God’s Guidance
Look to God for direction through prayer, Scripture, and spiritual discernment
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding....”
3. Rely on God's Strength
